Dear Parents and Students welcome to our 3rd Newsletter.
I hope this newsletter finds everyone in good health and sprits.
Current News.
Classes are going great; I am so pleased to see how all the students are developing.
I am sure that everyone will do very well at the next belt test.
It is clear to me that some of the students are practicing hard at home, it is so important that parents encourage them to do this, and I am glad to see that this is happening.
We have had a few new students join class over the last couple of months, and I am pleased to see how the older students have made them feel welcome and are trying to help them with their kata.
As you may recall from previous newsletters (all can be found on our web site) we have been searching for a space to teach during the summer months, with the invaluable help of Beverly, Robert’s mother, we now have a space. Beverly was able to help us secure a great location, so a BIG Thanks goes out to you Beverly.
So starting on May 5th all classes will be held at our new location.
Directions
Heading West on Rt 60 Midlothian Turnpike towards Rt 288 turn left at the Firestone Dealer onto Village Mill Drive, we will be in the last building on the left. Please use the side door.
We are very excited about this new location, as this will allow us to expand our program.
Thank you to Dr Abernathy for allowing us to use this location.

As we grow our Program the following is expected of ALL students, these are NOT NEW rules, but will be strictly enforced, as we are guests at this location and do NOT want to disrupt those around us.
1. In order to participate in class, students MUST wear their uniform. No Uniform no class.
2. Disruptive behavior before, after and during class will not be tolerated.
3. Students will be quite during class, especially when the instructor is talking.
4. Students will be respectful of each other and train in a safe and slow manner.
5. Students are asked to arrive during the 15 minutes between classes, and be ready to train at the start of class. If students arrive while a class is in progress they will sit quietly at the mats edge. Bring a book, or music if you need to, or watch and learn from the other class.
6. Horseplay and Hanging out outside the building is strictly forbidden.
Once again we are guests at this location.

Up Coming and Future Events.
We hope to be holding a Fundraising Car wash in the near future, ( last weekend in May is being considered ).
We are working with Midlothian BMW to co host this event.
The car wash is a voluntary event, and will take place on a Sat from noon to 5pm.
Myself, Sensei Doug, Michele and Mark will be there. I hope to see many of our students and parents there with us, Parents don’t worry you won’t be washing cars, but I will ask that you help us supervise it.
Myself and the students will be washing the cars in UNIFORM. Yes we will get wet, we hope to have a tent available for changing, so please students bring a towel and a dry change of clothes.
At the end of the event we will have Soda and Pizza at the location. More details will follow.
We are hoping to be in a financial position by August 08 to look for a Permanent location. Your support in referring new students is greatly appreciated.
